To amend title 18, United States Code, to provide penalties for participation in street gangs and to provide additional penalties for felonies in furtherance of the activities of such gangs, and for other purposes.
Amends the Federal criminal code to establish penalties, in addition to the punishment otherwise provided for a crime, for the commission of a felony crime of violence in or for any criminal street gang.
Specifies that any term of imprisonment imposed under this Act shall not run concurrently with any term imposed for the underlying crime.
