Recognizes the Patuxent River as a national demonstration river and declares that it is an appropriate site for water quality demonstration projects.
Declares that: (1) Federal agencies responsible for the administration of such projects should coordinate activities with State and local governments and regional agencies to facilitate the achievement of water quality goals for the Patuxent River; and (2) the Environmental Protection Agency should ensure that commitments to restore the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries are fulfilled in the most cost-effective manner by demonstrating the effectiveness of water quality strategies in the Patuxent River.
