Subjects to civil liability (provided by the Trademark Act of 1946) any person who uses the symbols, emblems, trademarks, and names of the 1993 Summer World University Games, without the consent of the Greater Buffalo Athletic Corporation (Corporation): (1) for the purpose of trade; (2) to induce the sale of any goods or services; or (3) to promote any theatrical exhibition, athletic performance, or competition.
Permits contributors and suppliers of goods or services to use the tradename of the Corporation, or any trade mark, symbol, insignia, logo, or emblem belonging to it or the International University Sports Federation, to advertise that such goods were approved, selected, and used by the Corporation.
Gives the Corporation the exclusive right to use the name "World University Games," the symbol, logo, and names described in this Act.
