A bill to provide for the preservation and interpretation of sites associated with Acadian culture in the State of Maine.
Maine Acadian Culture Preservation Act - Establishes the Maine Acadian Culture Preservation Commission to advise the Secretary of the Interior with respect to the preservation and interpretation of the Acadian culture in Maine. Terminates such Commission ten years after enactment of this Act.
Requires the Secretary to transmit to specified congressional committees a comprehensive study of Acadian culture in Maine. Authorizes the Secretary to provide an Acadian cultural center for the preservation, perpetuation, and interpretation of Acadian culture within the State of Maine. Authorizes appropriations.
