A bill to amend the Controlled Substances Act to strengthen minimum imprisonment provisions for employing persons under 18 years of age in drug operations, and for other purposes.
Juveniles in Drug Crime Prevention Act of 1989 - Amends the Controlled Substances Act to increase the minimum term of imprisonment for: (1) employment or use of persons under 18 years of age in drug operations; and (2) employment or use of persons under 14 years of age in such operations.
Amends the Federal criminal code to include as a serious drug offense any act of juvenile delinquency which, if committed by an adult, would be a serious drug offense constituting an armed career criminal act predicate offense.
