IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES January 24, 1989 Mr. BOSCO introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary A BILL For the relief of Marie K. Madison. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. PAYMENT OF CLAIM. The Secretary of the Treasury shall pay, out of money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $1,230.47 to Marie K. Madison, a forestry technician with the United States Forest Service. The sum represents expenses incurred by Ms. Madison when moving her mobile home from a forestry station in Grants Pass, Oregon, to a forestry station in Gasquet, California. Payment of the sum shall be in full satisfaction of any claim of Ms. Madison against the United States with respect to expenses she incurred when moving her mobile home. SEC. 2. LIMITATION ON ATTORNEY FEES. No amount exceeding 10 percent of the payment made under section 1 shall be paid to or received by any agent or attorney in consideration for services rendered in connection with the payment. Any violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000.
