Hazardous Materials Transportation Information Act of 1988 - Directs the Secretary of Transportation to conduct a region-by-region analysis of the flow of hazardous materials on highways, water, and railroads in the nine regions from which the Census Bureau derives its Commodity Transportation Survey database.
Requires the Secretary to report analysis results to the Congress and each State within one year.
