1996 Olympic Commemorative Coin Act - Directs the Secretary of the Treasury to issue 1996 Olympic Games commemorative coins in five-dollar gold coins, one-dollar silver coins, and half-dollar clad coins. Prohibits the minting of such coins after June 30, 1997.
Prescribes guidelines for the sale and pricing of such coins.
Mandates that: (1) surcharges be paid to the U.S. Olympic Committee; (2) all amounts received from the sale of coins be deposited in the coinage profit fund; and (3) the Secretary takes steps to ensure that the coin issuance will not result in any net cost to the United States. Sets forth adequate security criteria for payment of such coins.
