To provide authority for the President to stabilize prices, wages, interest rates, and corporate dividends.
Economic Stabilization Act of 1989 - Authorizes the President, through FY 1993, to issue orders and regulations deemed appropriate to stabilize prices, rents, wages, salaries, and profits at levels not less than those prevailing on January 1, 1989, and to stabilize interest rates and corporate dividends and similar transfers at levels consistent with orderly economic growth. Authorizes injunctive relief with respect to violations of such orders. Imposes a fine of up to $25,000 on violators.
