To amend the Federal Deposit Insurance Act to prohibit the sale of securities issued by insured depository institutitons or their affiliates on the premises of insured depository institutions which are accessible to the general public.
Depository Institutions Consumer Protection Act of 1989 - Amends the Federal Deposit Insurance Act to prohibit a depository institution from conducting or allowing any transactions of its own or an affiliate's securities in any part of its premises which is commonly accessible to the general public for the purpose of accepting deposits.
