To amend title 18, United States Code, to provide penalties for selling or offering to sell as Vidalia onions sweet onions not of the Vidalia variety or not grown in the Vidalia onion production region, and for other purposes.
Federal Vidalia Onion Act of 1989 - Amends the Federal criminal code to provide penalties for selling or offering to sell as Vidalia onions those not of the Vidalia variety or not grown in the Vidalia onion production area (as defined under Georgia law).
