To amend title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to provide for religious accomodation.
Religious Accommodation Amendment of 1989 - Amends provisions of title VII (Equal Employment Opportunities) of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 defining "religion," for purposes of such title, to state that, if there are several reasonable accommodations that may be made to an employee's or prospective employee's religious observance or practice without causing an undue hardship on the conduct of the employer's business, then the employer shall make any of the accommodations that will, in the opinion of the employee, be the least onerous to the employee.
