Chinese Student Relief Act of 1989 - Amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to permit certain nationals of the People's Republic of China entitled to deferral of enforced departure to adjust to temporary U.S. resident status. Allows such persons to work in the United States.
Waives the foreign (home country) residence requirement for certain Chinese students and exchange visitors applying for temporary resident status.
Requires the Attorney General to disseminate program information.
