To enable producers of fresh mushrooms to develop, finance, and carry out a nationally coordinated program for fresh mushroom promotion, research, and consumer information, and for other purposes.
Fresh Mushroom Promotion, Research, and Consumer Information Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to issue an order creating (subject to producer and importer referendum) a fresh mushroom (domestic and imported) promotion, research, and consumer education program.
Requires any such order to provide for the establishment of a Mushroom Council.
Funds such program through producer, handler, and importer assessments.
Authorizes appropriations.
