To amend title 10, United States Code, to require that the Secretary of Defense direct the Armed Forces to conduct, to the maximum extent practicable and consistent with other military missions, military training exercises in areas in which the smuggling of drugs into the United States occurs and to require the Secretary to report to Congress on possible means and costs of expanding such efforts.
Military Training in Drug Interdiction Areas Act - Requires the Secretary of Defense to direct all branches of the armed forces to conduct military training exercises in areas within the jurisdiction of the United States within which the smuggling of drugs into the United States has occurred.
Requires a report from the Secretary to the Congress on the implementation of this Act and other programs for military interdiction and deterrence of the smuggling of drugs into the United States.
