To provide a separate tariff classification for, and to suspend temporarily the duty on, certain opal borosilicate glassware imported in sets.

Amends the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States to provide a duty on kitchen and dinnerware sets made of opal borosilicate glass. Suspends the duty on glassware of opal borosilicate glass through December 31, 1992.

  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
  States of America in Congress assembled,
SEC. 1. PERMANENT TARIFF TREATMENT.
  Chapter 70 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States is
  amended by inserting in numerical sequence the following new item:

 than 0.5% fluorine (F2) and no more than 8% alkalies (Na2O plus K2O). 7.2%

  Subchapter II of Chapter 99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United
  States is amended by inserting in numerical sequence the following new item:

SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
  The amendments made by sections 1 and 2 of this Act shall apply to all
  articles entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption after the
  date that is 15 days after the date of enactment of this Act.
