Provides that the deaths of two named members of the Mexican Air Force during World War II shall be deemed to have occurred while such individuals were on active duty in the Army Air Corps for purposes of determining benefits eligibility of the surviving spouses.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES March 14, 1989 Mr. BUSTAMANTE introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary A BILL For the relief of Oralia Espinosa and Triny Nell Espinosa. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That for the purposes of determining the eligibility of Oralia Espinosa, of San Antonio, Texas, and of Triny Nell Espinosa, of Norman, Oklahoma, for benefits as the surviving spouse of a member of the Armed Forces dying while on active duty (and the amounts of any such benefits), the death of Capt. Hector Espinosa G. (the husband of Oralin Espinosa), and the death of Capt. Jose Espinosa F. (the husband of Triny Nell Espinosa), both of the Mexican Air Force, during World War II shall be deemed to have occurred while the individual was serving on active duty as a member of the Army Air Corps in the grade of captain. SEC. 2. No benefit shall accrue by reason of the enactment of this Act for any period before the date of the enactment of this Act.
