To amend title 18 of the United States Code to limit the exclusion of evidence obtained as a result of a search or seizure.
Law Enforcement Assistance Act of 1989 - Amends the Federal criminal code to bar the exclusion of otherwise admissible evidence obtained as a result of a search or seizure from a court of the United States if the search or seizure was undertaken in an objective, reasonable, good faith belief that it was in conformity with the fourth amendment to the Constitution.
Specifies that evidence obtained pursuant to, and within the scope of, a warrant constitutes prima facie evidence of such a belief, unless obtained through intentional and material misrepresentation.
