Prohibits the importation into the United States of any semiautomatic assault rifles, semiautomatic assault pistols, large capacity magazines, and large capacity ammunition belts.
Directs the Secretary of the Treasury to conduct, and submit to the Congress by December 31, 1991, a study, with respect to the most recent five-year period for which information is available, of the use of such weapons in the commission of crimes.
