Disapproves the President's certification for U.S. assistance to the Bahamas under provisions of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 relating to countries that fail to take adequate measures to prevent narcotic drugs and other controlled substances from being sold illegally within the jurisdiction of such country to U.S. Government personnel or from entering the United States unlawfully.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES March 23, 1989 Mr. FEIGHAN introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred jointly to the Committees on Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs and Foreign Affairs JOINT RESOLUTION Disapproving the 1989 certification by the President with respect to the Bahamas under section 481(h) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Congress hereby disapproves of the determination of the President with respect to the Bahamas as contained in the certification required by section 481(h) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, received by the Congress on March 1, 1989.
