IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES January 27, 1989 Mr. MCCANDLESS introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Post Office and Civil Service JOINT RESOLUTION Disapproving the pay increases recently recommended by the President, except those for the judicial branch. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) in accordance with subsection (i)(1) of section 225 of the Federal Salary Act of 1967, all recommendations transmitted to the Congress by the President on January 9, 1989, under subsection (h) of such section are hereby disapproved, except as provided in subsection (b). (b) Subsection (a) shall not apply with respect to any office or position within the purview of section 225(f)(C) of the Federal Salary Act of 1967 (2 U.S.C. 356(C)).
