Declares that the Congress: (1) is prepared to support a presidential waiver of the Jackson-Vanik amendment of the Trade Act of 1974 (relating to most favored nation treatment) with respect to Czechoslovakia in recognition of assurances that the Government of Czechoslovakia is firmly on a course toward permitting acceptable levels of free emigration and the removal of unreasonable impediments to persons wishing to emigrate; and (2) will continue to monitor Czechoslovakian efforts to institutionalize its liberalized emigration policy.
