A concurrent resolution expressing support for the Central American Peace Agreement, signed August 7, 1987, and congratulating the Presidents of Central America on the successful outcome of their recent summit meeting in Guatemala City.

Declares that the Congress: (1) congratulates the Presidents of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua on their summit conference of August 6 through 7, 1987; (2) recognizes the signing of the August 7th peace accord as an important opportunity for the Presidents of Central America to restore peace and stability in the region; (3) urges the parties to implement all the provisions of the peace accord; and (4) pledges its support and cooperation with respect to the implementation of the peace accord.
