Amends the Tariff Schedules of the United States to provide that picture tubes imported in combination with, or incorporated into, other articles are to be classified as television picture tubes unless they are incorporated or put into kits for incorporation into complete television receivers or into certain other fully assembled units.
Increases, through October 31, 1987, the duty on certain television picture tubes that are included into the assembly of complete receivers. Grants duty-free treatment, through December 31, 1990, to color television picture tubes having a video display of less than 12 inches.
