Requires the Secretary of Commerce to ensure that each questionnaire used in a decennial census contain at least one question relating to race or ethnic origin. Requires the question to include: (1) each group identified in the 1980 decennial census; (2) at least two additional groups within the category of Asian American or Pacific Islander; and (3) a means to write in any group not specified.
Requires the Secretary, in carrying out any decennial census, to tabulate and make public the general population of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders both by total and by groups.
