Condemns the continued suppression of human rights and violations of the Esquipulas II accord by the Sandinista regime in Nicaragua.

Urges: (1) the United States to continue efforts to strengthen the internal opposition and the independent media of Nicaragua and to provide humanitarian assistance to the Nicaraguan Democratic Resistance; (2) the Western democracies, particularly President Arias of Costa Rica, to play a more forceful role in condemning such violations; and (3) the Sandinista regime to understand the consequences of complying, and of failing to comply, with the Esquipulas II accord.
