A bill to require the Federal Communications Commission to prescribe standards for AM stereo radio broadcasting.
AM Radio Improvement Act of 1988 - Directs the Federal Communications Commission, within 60 days after this Act's enactment, to initiate rulemaking to adopt a single AM radio stereophonic transmitting equipment standard (to be adopted within six months of this Act's enactment) that specifies the composition of the transmitted signal.
