A bill to amend title 18, United States Code, to provide for criminal penalties for Government officials who commit national security offenses.
Official Accountability Act of 1987 - Amends the Federal criminal code to provide criminal penalties for Government officials (including members of the armed forces and Government contractors) who commit a national security offense. (ordering or engaging in any intelligence activity which violates any statute, Executive Order, or international agreement to which the United States is a party). States that acting "pursuant to an order of a superior" shall not be a defense to violations of this Act.
States that violators of this Act shall be ineligible for employment by the United States for 15 years.
