A bill to amend the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act to permit Federal agencies to use pesticides on public lands without duplicating the research or analyses of the Environmental Protection Agency under that Act.
Federal Pesticide Programs Improvement Act of 1987 - Amends the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act to permit Federal agencies to use a registered pesticide unless the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) determines that missing or deficient data warrants suspension or cancellation of such registration.
Permits Federal agencies to refer to research conducted for EPA pesticide registration in developing their own environmental impact statements.
Provides that registration guidelines promulgated by the Administrator may not contain a requirement for applicants to perform human epidemiological studies to obtain or support registrations.
