A bill to amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to increase the amount of benefits payable with respect to the death of public safety officers.

Amends the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to increase from $50,000 to $100,000 the benefits paid to survivors of public safety officers (law enforcement officers and fire fighters) who die as a result of injury sustained in the line of duty. Allows such benefits to be paid to a designated beneficiary if there is no surviving spouse, child, or parent.
