A bill to amend title 18, United States Code, to provide penalties for the corrupt offering or giving of financial inducements to athletes to participate in intercollegiate athletic competition, and to amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to terminate financial assistance to institutions of higher education that aid or abet such conduct.
Intercollegiate Athletic Integrity Act of 1987 - Amends the Federal criminal code to provide criminal penalties for the corrupt giving or offering of inducements to individuals to participate in intercollegiate athletics.
Amends the Higher Education Act of 1965 to terminate Federal financial assistance for any institution which has aided or abetted any individual in offering or providing such inducements.
