A bill to provide for collection by the Federal Government of data regarding service sector economic activity.
Service Sector Data Collection Act of 1987 - Requires the President to direct the appropriate Federal agencies to collect and disseminate information on service sector economic activity that is as complete and timely as information on the goods sector of the economy. Requires collection of information on the following services: banking, computer software, brokerage, transportation, travel, engineering, and construction. Sets forth specific directives for the Secretary of Commerce and the Secretary of Labor for service sector data collection.
