A bill to provide for the conveyance of certain public lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management to citizens of the United States who establish a residence on such lands.
Homestead Act of 1987 - Establishes a program for the Secretary of the Interior to convey public lands for residence purposes to U.S. citizens 21 years of age or older. Limits an individual conveyance to 160 acres. Directs the Secretary to convey title to such lands after three years of permanent residence.
