A concurrent resolution commending the Philippine Government, under President Corazon Aquino, for its adherence to democratic principles and for its courageous acts in the face of unlawful violence against the government.

Declares that the Congress: (1) condemns the attempted overthrow of the Philippine Government; (2) commends the Government of President Corazon Aquino for its continued support for democracy and its steps to improve economic conditions; (3) commends those military troops who supported the Philippine Government; (4) supports the Philippine Government in its efforts to stop the Communist and Moslem insurgents and to address the material condition of the Philippine military; and (5) commends the Philippine Government for its commitment to restructuring a democratic political system based on direct elections, political and civil liberties, and a balance of power among the three branches of government.
