Emergency Fire Department and Rescue Squad Volunteer Protection Act of 1981 - Allows Federal and District of Columbia government employees up to four hours paid leave per week for purposes of responding to an emergency as a member of a volunteer fire department or volunteer rescue squad that operates under an agreement with any local government.
Provides that in the event an employee should use more than the allowed four hours of leave time such employee shall be allowed to work overtime without pay in order to compensate for such time.
