Prescription Drug Consumer Information Act of 2001

Prescription Drug Consumer Information Act of 2001 - Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to prepare, publish, and annually update a consumer guide to prescription drug prices.

Directs the Secretary to: (1) provide the guide to public libraries; (2) provide for dissemination widely to consumers of prescription drugs and health care providers; (3) encourage organizations representing senior citizens, health care consumers, and health care professionals to make the guide available to the members; and (4) make the guide available through a computer network which is easily accessible to the general public, as well as in print.

Requires the Secretary to charge a reasonable fee for providing the guide, except to public libraries, to cover the costs of publishing and distributing the guide.
